Registration Underway for 10th Annual McKendree Junior High Concert Band Camp

Lebanon, IL (01/13/2025) — (LEBANON, Ill., Jan. 13, 2025) - McKendree University will be hosting their 10th annual junior high concert band camp from Monday, June 2 through Thursday, June 5 at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts on campus. The camp is open to students who are currently in the fifth, sixth, seventh, or eighth grade and have completed at least one year of school instruction on their instrument by this June.

Camp will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Attendees will experience full band rehearsals, sectionals, master classes, a music theory or music history class, and performances by professional musicians every day during camp. On Thursday, students will stay for the culminating camp performance at 6 p.m., which is free and open to the public.
