Albers Presents on Population Health at Sigma Convention
Lebanon, IL (11/20/2019) — Dr. Jan Albers, RN, PHNA-BC, EBP-C, CLC, assistant professor of nursing at McKendree University, presented at the 2019 Sigma Biennial Convention on Nov. 18 in Washington, D.C. Sigma (Sigma Theta Tau) is the global professional honor society for nursing. It was the organization's Sigma's 45th biennial convention. McKendree has had a Sigma chapter since October 2016.
Albers' presentation was entitled "Innovative Population Health Curriculum: Integrating Institute for Healthcare Improvement's Leadership and Organizing for Change Tools." She is the lead faculty member for the Master of Science in Nursing degree program's population health track. The online MSN program incorporates best evidence and practices; experiential learning; and collaboration with local, state and national resources and supporting organizations, with an emphasis on rural and underserved areas.
